Abba Bohusmatjes has a strongly spicy taste and is the tastiest in our range of matjes. Bohusmatjes contains herring (Clupea harengus) of the highest quality that is fished in the Northeast Atlantic and that only comes from viable stocks. The herring is allowed to mature in barrels with a spice layer in our rock cave in Kungshamn on the west coast of Bohuslän until it tastes at its best and is ready to be enjoyed! Matjes herring has a given place at the Midsummer celebration or is eaten as it is together with fresh potatoes, sour cream, chives and a little browned butter. Der Hering reift in Fässern mit einer Gewürzschicht in der Felsenhöhle des Unternehmens in Kungshamn an der Westküste von Bohuslän, bis er seinen besten Geschmack erreicht und bereit zum Genießen ist.
Matjeshering hat einen festen Platz beim Mittsommerfest oder wird klassisch mit frischen Kartoffeln, Sauerrahm, Schnittlauch und etwas gebräunter Butter serviert.
