This is perhaps the most traditional sauce to serve with hot smoked salmon. Or maybe that's dill sauce? Both are incredibly popular and tasty.

Ingredients
- Salt and black pepper
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 0.5 dl mayonnaise
- 2 dl crème fraîche
- 1 bunch chives
- 1 bunch dill
3 tbsp roe, such as lumpfish roe or trout roe
Instructions
- Finely chop the dill and chives.
- Mix the crème fraîche, mayonnaise, and lemon juice, then gently fold in the roe.
- Let it sit in the refrigerator for a while before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste if needed.
