VERY DELICIOUS, VERY SWEDISH CROUSTADES

Krustader (croustades) are small bowl-shaped, deep-fried pastries made of butter or shortcrust pastry. They are baked in the oven until golden brown and served warm and filled with whatever you feel like. Croustades can be a bit complicated to make yourself, but fortunately we have them ready-made in the shop.

Here is a delicious recipe for some really delicious, really Swedish croustades. These are made with Västerbotten cheese cream and löjrom. Two products that are very significant for Sweden. The löjrom is a "Protected Designation of Origin"-product and the Västerbotten cheese is only allowed to be made in Västerbotten county in north Sweden. You can also make the croustades with our new Swedish sturgeon caviar instead of the löjrom.

All you need is: 1 package of mini crusts ca 20 pieces, 1 dl cream cheese, 1 dl grated Västerbotten cheese, 1 dl sour cream, 1/2 lemon, 1/2 pot chives, 30 g of löjrom or sturgeon caviar

1. Add cream cheese, sour cream and grated Västerbotten cheese to a bowl and mix with a hand mixer. Add the lemon juice.

2. Pour the mix into a piping bag and fill each bottom of each crust.

3. Top with roe and chopped chives.

4. Eat and enjoy!
